The Association was formed in 2018 by the owners and crews of Rustler 24s and Pipers in the St Mawes area, all of whom were keen to race the 2 designs on equal terms in local club races and regattas.  Although racing was an important motivation for creation of the Association, the members were also keen to develop a vibrant social fleet as part of the St Mawes Sailing Club.
